| Decatur Country Club - Superintendent's Corner |
We are in the process of cleaning debris from behind the Maintenance building and should be finished with this project by the first week in December, weather permitting. The leaves are really falling now and we are trying to keep them blown off of the greens and raked. We are picking up pine straw and filling in the pine straw beds, trimming trees, edging cart paths and bunkers. We will be removing dead limbs and trees throughout the winter months. We are currently spraying winter weeds on the fairways, tee boxes and roughs.
It is a great time of the year for golf and the greens are in great shape. Come out and enjoy a few rounds of golf.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all,
Dennis James, CGCS
